Darren is the founder and Managing Partner of Camino Hospitality Investments whose focus is helping investors gain access to the best hospitality real estate investments the market has to offer.

Darren is focused on raising capital for Camino assets that provide great risk-adjusted returns, tax advantages, passive income, and equity upside. He also oversees the firm in his role as CEO and Investment and Asset Management.

Darren got his experience in real estate investments working for several prominent RE/Hotel developers and private equity firms in New York, NY, one of the most challenging markets in the world.

Before Camino, Darren managed a global Investment Banking firm focused on mid-market firms  and included a real estate practice. This experience included researching deals [Origination], raising capital and managing transactions to close, managing assets to realized investment.

Darren graduated from Hofstra University and has his MBA from NYU Stern School of Business in New York where he resides with his family. He enjoys global travel, golf, ice and rock climbing and has climbed to Base Camp Everest and summited Kilimanjaro.

Our Strategy

Camino Hospitality Investments focuses on acquiring assets in the hospitality space to bring investors a higher return compared to many other asset classes. The team researches and identifies viable properties that fit our model. We perform due diligence, negotiate with owners and lead the transaction. Camino also oversees the operation of each property directly or through selected hotel operators.

We are currently focused on properties and assets with an existing boutique hotel [25+ Keys] that may be operating but may require upgrades or operational enhancements to increase value. Additionally, we seek properties that can be converted into a boutique hotel, either luxury or comfort with minimal cost. Our geographic focus is the US, Mexico and Latin America in key tourist areas and anticipate a hold period of 3-5 years.

In most cases our investors not only benefit from the value from the property but also from the hotel (business) it houses. Camino also leases space to preferred, outside hotel, restaurant and bar operators at a premium rate when beneficial.
